About Service Costs

The cost of accounting services depends on many factors. The main factors affecting the price are:

  • 1.Company Ownership Form.

    - Individual Entrepreneur

Usually cheaper service because Ukrainian legislation does not impose strict accounting requirements on individual entrepreneurs, so accounting for them is often simpler, and the cost of services is lower.

    - LLC, Private Enterprise, Joint Stock Company or other legal entities

Required to maintain accounting and tax records based on properly executed primary documents, prepare and submit accounting, statistical, and tax reports. The level of control and responsibility is higher, so accounting for legal entities costs more.

  • 2.Type of Activity

This is one of the key factors influencing the cost of accounting support. Each business activity has its own specifics and complexity. For example, IT companies often involve foreign economic activity, while manufacturing firms with long operational cycles have their own features and nuances.

  • 3.Taxation System

    - Simplified System (single tax)

Usually cheaper due to simplified record-keeping and reporting.

    - General Taxation System

Compared to the simplified system, stricter documentation requirements apply. In accounting, not only income but also the legality of expenses must be documented, which increases the cost.

    - VAT

VAT accounting requires a technical base for electronic document exchange and a professional who can quickly adapt to legal changes and register tax invoices promptly to avoid penalties. If invoices are blocked, explanations and documentation must be submitted along with special tables.

  • 4.Foreign Economic Activity

Requires knowledge of trade, customs, currency, and international legislation. Includes currency operations, foreign exchange transactions, and the taxation nuances of imports/exports, which increase accounting costs.

  • 5.Company Activity Volume

  • 6.Number of Transactions

The more business transactions during a period, the more work for the accountant — and the higher the cost.

  • 7.Complexity of Transactions

For example, international transactions, tax nuances, or financial reports for large projects require more time and effort.

  • 8.Presence of Real Estate

If a company owns real estate, a property tax declaration (excluding land plots) must be submitted.

If a land plot is owned or leased (municipal property), land tax declarations must be filed.

  • 9.Presence of Stationary Pollution Sources.

Examples of stationary pollution sources include: boilers (including pellet ones), heaters, autonomous heating systems in buildings, gas water heaters, thermal generators, power generators and mini power stations (mobile or stationary), welding equipment, cutting tools (e.g. chainsaws), lawn mowers, and grain dryers, especially when using fuels like gasoline, diesel, gas, or coal.

Requires filing an environmental tax return.

  • 10.Number of Employees

A larger workforce means more payroll calculations (wages, vacations, sick leaves), unified social tax and income tax reports, personnel documentation, and statistical reports — all adding to service cost.

These are the main factors that determine the cost of accounting services. Therefore, specialists usually cannot provide an exact price immediately — they first analyze your business activity and specifics.
